Laura Mork thanked Dave Carpenter for coming and explained the organization of the water committee. The committee members include: Laura Mork, Mark Sexton, Boyd Barry, Meredith Moench, Mark Buford, Hal Holmerud, Tim Slater, and Kent Nielsen.

Laura Mork explained the water storage capacity and potential communication ideas for water usage and storage. Questions were asked and answered.

MARINE Jack Mulhern opened the report for questions. Questions were asked and answered.

NATURAL DISASTER Jack Mulhern opened the report for questions. Frankie Small stated the DNR chipper is coming on Monday in LISE. Questions were asked and answered.

QUARRY – Jack Mulhern opened the report for questions. Kent Nielsen followed up his written report regarding dynamite blasts which the county has monitored recently. Kent will keep everyone apprised through the newsletter. There may be another open house this summer.  Questions were asked and answered.

SOCIAL Jack Mulhern opened the report for questions. No questions were forthcoming. The lunch today at the cabana is ready to go when everyone is ready.

ADMINISTRATIONJack Mulhern opened the report for questions. Ron Bain thanked his committee: Marlene Sexton, and Neva Buechner.

Ron Bain explained the grey form showing the bylaw changes up for vote. Questions were asked and answered.

ELECTION OF DIRECTORSRon Bain explained the voting procedure and asked for nominations from the floor. No nominations were forthcoming.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS A question was raised regarding purchasing a sweeper. Boyd Barry stated that money is set aside and operations is in the process of looking to purchase.  Frankie Small requested LISE support the Island Disaster Preparedness Committee with a donation to offset photocopying and mailing costs.

2006/AGM/5  M. Kelli Miles, 2nd Norman Wolf “Provide $100 to the disaster preparedness organization.” For:  95  Against: 0. Passed.

NEW BUSINESS Jack Mulhern opened the forum for new business. Discussion followed.

2006/AGM/6  M. Kelli Miles, 2nd Darlene Stoffer “General membership accept the property at 1194 Beach Avenue for inclusion into LISE subject to all government agency approval.” (referring to the Department of Health, Department of Ecology and local Health Department).  For:  20 Against:  78    Failed.

Michael Wardell informed the membership that LISE attorney Tim Carpenter has been suspended from practicing for sixty days. Discussion followed.

2006/AGM/7 M. Michael Wardell  2nd Kent Nielsen “Board locate qualified counsel for that period and then reevaluate the situation regarding which counsel to go forward with.” For: 90. Against: 6  Passed.

2006/AGM/8 M.  Nannette Nielsen 2nd Lee McCollum “reinstate the $200 donation to the Aid Vehicle.”  Referring to the Lummi Island Fire Department. For: 84/89 Against:  13 Passed.
