MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING
July 17, 2005

CALL TO ORDER: by President Jack Mulhern at 9:40 a.m.
PRESENT: Ron Bain, Boyd Barry, Greg Eigsti, Laura Mork, Jack Mulhern, Martha Patterson, Mark Sexton, 
EXCUSED: Linda Bowman, Treasurer
STAFF PRESENT: Jackie Granger
VOTING STATUS: All board members present are in good standing.
 

2005/7/1  M. Jack Mulhern 2nd Greg Eigsti “Meeting will adjourn at 11 a.m.” Passed Unanimously. Due to a clubhouse commitment for the water conservation forum.
MINUTES:
2005/7/2  M. Ron Bain 2nd  Mark Sexton   “approve the minutes of the last meeting as amended.” Passed Unanimously. Referring to the June 19, 2005 Board of Directors Meeting.
Remove Greg Eigsti from Present. Greg was excused from the meeting.
COMMUNICATIONS: Meredith Moench, Salvation Army, Department of Ecology, Louise Weber.
2005/7/3  M. Ron Bain  2nd Mark Sexton  “work into next year’s budget the water situation for Division 5 Lot 15.” Passed Unanimously. 

2005/7/4  M. Mark Sexton   2nd  Boyd Barry “that we approve the Salvation Army use of the swim lake for Thursdays in August.” Passed Unanimously.

2005/7/5   M. Greg Eigsti   2nd  Ron Bain   “contact Mr. Carpenter and inform him that a LISE member may be contacting him for information at the member’s cost and inform Louise Weber of the same.”  Passed. For: Boyd Barry, Ron Bain, Greg Eigsti, Laura Mork, Martha Patterson, Abstain: Mark Sexton 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

NATURAL DISASTER COMMITTEE:
Jack Mulhern read Frankie Small’s written report. 

WATER COMMITTEE:
Laura Mork explained the activity of the water committee. The Water Wise Seminar is after this board meeting and it is hoped that many members will become educated about water use in the garden. Discussion followed. 

QUARRY COMMITTEE:
Kent Nielsen reported about the quarry open house success. 25 or 30 people attended from Scenic Estates. Jack Mulhern thanked Kent for his efforts in coordinating this event. An open house may be scheduled again next year.

PLANNING COMMITTEE:
Boyd Barry read his submitted report.

FINANCE COMMITTEE:
Martha Patterson reported on the Reserves Seminar she attended in Bellevue yesterday. Discussion followed.
