MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING
July 18, 2004

CALL TO ORDER: by President Jack Mulhern at 10:04 a.m.
PRESENT: Greg Eigsti, Laura Mork, Jack Mulhern, Martha Patterson, Mark Sexton, Louise Weber and Linda Bowman, Treasurer.
EXCUSED: Ron Bain
STAFF PRESENT: Jackie Granger
VOTING STATUS: All board members present are in good standing.

MINUTES:

2004/7/1 M.  Laura Mork  2nd  Mark Sexton     “approve the minutes of the last meeting.” Passed. For - Laura Mork, Mark Sexton, Martha Patterson, Greg Eigsti, Abstained - Louise Weber -. Referring to June 27, 2004 Board of Directors Meeting.

2004/7/2    M.  Jack Mulhern  2nd  Laura Mork   “meeting ends at 12:00 p.m.”  Passed For-Laura Mork, Mark Sexton, Martha Patterson, Greg Eigsti, Louise Weber – abstained.

Jack Mulhern stated that member Bill Johnson volunteered to clean up around the monument. Thank you Bill!
 
COMMUNICATIONS:
Tim Carpenter, Department of Ecology, Whatcom County, Thomas Bernard, Elizabeth Kilanowski and Bert Rubash, Stuart Rich and Lisa Wochos, Clay Wray.
2004/7/3 M. Martha Patterson  2nd  Laura Mork  “offer Sunday August 1, 2004 from 2 until 6 for the LI Church and Boys and Girls Club for their function excepting the kayak lessons, and include in the parental waiver that this is a one-time only event and that it is a private lake.” Passed Unanimously. 

COMMITTEE REPORTS
SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
Leslie Quento read report of the July 1/4 Social and announced the social on August 21, 2004. See attached report.

WATER:
Laura Mork requested that the Board approve sending Jackie Granger to a basic water course to have her become more familiar with water systems. See motion 2004/7/4.

2004/7/4    M.  Laura Mork   2nd  Mark Sexton  “that the General Manager increase her understanding of water system requirements by attending a 3 day course on “Water Works Basics” in August, at a cost of $275 and travel and lodging/meals.”  Passed. For – Laura Mork, Mark Sexton, Martha Patterson, Greg Eigsti. Against – Louise Weber.
