FINANCE:
Jackie Granger presented a payment plan submitted by members.
2004/5/5    M.  Laura Mork   2nd  Ron Bain “accept the payment plan on lot 6, division 1, block 4 and lot 36 division 2 as presented.”  Passed Unanimously.
Frankie Small requested that the Board initially pay the Whatcom County Permit Fee to erect a new Fire Danger sign at the entrance to LISECC. Fire District #11 will reimburse LISECC once the bill is submitted. 
2004/5/6    M.  Laura Mork 2nd Ron Bain “Be law abiding citizens and pay for the permit for the Smokey the Bear sign with the expectation that it will be reimbursed by Fire District #11 and that this permit be less than $200.” For Mark Sexton, Laura Mork, Ron Bain, opposed Louise Weber.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 
Jackie Granger read the following motion made by email on May 6, 2004.
2004/5/7    M.  Laura Mork 2nd Mark Sexton “that we send the letter as written by T. Carpenter, and adjusted by the LISE General Manager to the Health Department to grant Calvin Cummings an easement for his reserve drain field (Lot 9, Division 4).” Passed. For: Mark Sexton, Laura Mork, Ron Bain. Opposed Louise Weber.


NEW BUSINESS: 
Jackie Granger stated that the Board was informed of the link for the LISECC financial statements on the web site. Discussion followed.

2004/5/8    M.  Ron Bain   2nd  Laura Mork   “that our financial statements be put on the website except our account receivable due to confidentiality.”  Passed Unanimously.
Jackie Granger requested that submissions for the summer newsletter be to the office by the end of the month (preferably electronically.) 
Jack Mulhern opened for discussion the appointment of a seventh director. Greg Eigsti and Kent Nielsen were nominated. Votes were recorded by secret ballot. By majority Greg Eigsti will fill the seventh position of the Board of Directors. 
Greg Eigsti was asked to join the Board at their table.
Jack Mulhern opened discussion regarding the reimbursement of attorney’s fees for John Graham.
2004/5/9    M.  Ron Bain   2nd  Mark Sexton   “that for this specific incident regarding the court action of Whatcom County District Court No. AH04-0126: Order of Dismissal, that the Board reimburse John Graham for his legal expenses in the amount of $615.”  Passed. For:  Mark Sexton, Laura Mork, Ron Bain Greg Eigsti, opposed: Louise Weber.
Frankie Small gave an update on the FireWise situation. 
 

There being no further business the Board meeting was adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
