First step is a free visit from an engineer to review project. Discussion followed. (2004/11/4) M. Laura Mork 2nd Ron Bain “that we arrange USDA initial walk through / project review at no cost to LISE.” Passed. For - Ron Bain, Greg Eigsti, Laura Mork, Martha Patterson, Mark Sexton. Against - Louise Weber.Laura Mork reported on two-way pagers: pager would cost $40-50 to purchase and about $20 per month ongoing subscription fee. Cell phone service is about $40 per month. There is no per message charge and we can get demo that it would work in our terrain. Discussion followed. Laura will forward company info to Jackie. Martha Patterson reported on credit and debit card transactions. Direct withdrawal payment for dues system is pricey at $780 per year and nominal - $0.12 per transaction charge. Credit cards require a one-time software charge of $475, application fee of $100 and approximately $35 per month. Discussion followed. Ron Bain distributed outstanding account receivable policy changes and Martha Patterson reviewed. This policy basically makes people accountable to pay their bills; giving the LISE board teeth to enforce late payment abusers. Proposal will be rewritten and resubmitted at next meeting (along with credit card payment options listed above). At 11:20 a.m. Laura Mork left the meeting – excused by Jack Mulhern. A quorum remained. NEW BUSINESS: Jack
Mulhern presented a member complaint form to ponder. Discussion followed.
