PLANNING, Submitted by Chair, Boyd Barry:
I contacted the Whatcom County maintenance department to find out what the annual maintenance cost for a self propelled street sweeper but they have not returned my call as of yet. As for the painting of the maintenance shop/old fire station it is still undecided by the fire department I also would like to thank Frankie Small for her persistence on this project and for all the other projects she has worked on in the past. Frankie Small and I attended the meeting at the fire station for disaster preparedness. I came out of the meeting with a lot of good ideas on how to prepare our community for a disaster, the next meeting is December 14th at 7:00 pm. I will be putting some plans and ideas together and wil have them at the December Board Meeting.
