Barbara Myers submitted her written report. The main effort for the Finance Committee at this point is to review the past year’s expenses and set-up the budget for 2002. All Board Members and Committee Chairs are actively participating in this effort. We are also trying to anticipate any additional maintenance and/or improvements that can be made to our facilities or water system. It is our goal to ensure that Scenic Estates is run in an efficiently and cost effective manner, while staying a place of beauty and enjoyment for all, now and in the future.Barbara Myers stated that the committee is focusing on reviewing the current year’s expenditures and along with the other Board members planning the budget for the upcoming year. Jackie Granger stated that Mr. Harry Thomas telephoned after receiving the letter denying his request to waive the late, administrative and lien fees accrued on his account. Mr. Thomas requested during this telephone conversation that the board reduce his outstanding fees so that he may receive outside help to pay for the lesser amount. Discussion followed. See motion 2001/11/3. Jackie Granger distributed the budget as discussed on November 10, 2001. Discussion followed. A meeting will be held on December 8, 2001 to discuss the budget further. Jackie Granger submitted her written report: LIENS – Currently there are 19 active liens on 12 properties. 1 lien was removed.ADMINISTRATION: Nothing to report. NATURAL

QUARRY:
Quarry Committee members Liz Kilanowski, Bert Rubash and Denise Ranney were given a tour of the Ace Quarry, November 2 by Kyle Bride, Vice President of Ace Quarry. It was a very informative tour. In July the crusher was moved down toward the water and it is hoped that this has helped alleviate some of the noise issues that have affected Scenic Estates residents. There has also been extensive berm building done in the northern area of the quarry to help block the noise. Kyle would like to hear from anyone who has any concerns about the quarry, especially if they are noise related, on the day of the occurrence. That way he can try to determine the cause and problem solve the situation. He can be reached at 800-395-9300. In reference to the noise at Jan Bonaparte's property on Beach, he has monitored the noise from the street and determined that the high pitched noise is probably the screen equipment. He is thinking that extending the berm toward the water might help block that noise. Some sounds, such as the beeping from trucks backing up are safety regulation issues and cannot be eliminated. In general, the quarry operations are moving south on the site, away from Scenic Estates. This should make a difference with noise and how it affects Scenic Estates.PROPERTY COMPLIANCE: Barbara Myers submitted her written report: The committee as a whole has not met in the pass two months mostly due to conflicting schedules, including my own. We have however continued to move forward.Barbara Myers stated that copies were received of county compliance notices sent out to some of our members. Barbara Myers has met with a couple of members regarding compliance issues. A letter was sent to the realtors informing them of the situation in LISECC. Trailers and vehicles have been removed from properties in response to LISECC requests for compliance. The major focus of this committee is trying to be objective regarding the properties not within compliance. The next properties have been identified and will be sent letters in the coming week. Discussion followed. OLD
