MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING
September 18, 2005
(Subject to approval and correction at the Board of Directors’ Meeting on 
October 16, 2005)

MEMBERS & GUESTS:   Don Adema, Mark Mech, Marlene Sexton, Al Coghill, Denny Barry, Alex Mech

CALL TO ORDER: by President Jack Mulhern at 10:18 a.m.
PRESENT: Boyd Barry, Greg Eigsti, Jack Mulhern, Martha Patterson, Mark Sexton, and Linda Bowman, Treasurer.
EXCUSED: Ron Bain, Laura Mork
STAFF PRESENT: Jackie Granger
VOTING STATUS: All board members present are in good standing.
 

MINUTES:

2005/9/1 M. Mark Sexton 2nd  Greg Eigsti   “approve the minutes of the last meeting.” Passed Unanimously. Referring to the August 21, 2005 Board of Directors Meeting.
COMMUNICATIONS:
None received.

Jack Mulhern explained that at last month’s Board Meeting a letter was received from member Louise Weber’s attorney. This Board does not respond to attorney’s letters so it was forwarded to the LISE attorney and we are awaiting a response.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

WATER COMMITTEE:
Mark Sexton stated that the Wilson Engineering proposal letter has been drafted with one change since last meeting. The original agreement has not been received from Wilson, so Mark will contact them and have it signed and returned.
John Graham attended a conference and brought back a number of ideas.

FINANCE COMMITTEE:
Martha Patterson stated that she attended a budget seminar presented by Communities Association Institute. At the seminar Martha learned that LISE has great financial controls especially compared to other homeowners associations. A budget meeting will be held for the board on October 15 at 10 a.m. 
The finance committee met and has proposed a finance policy for investments. Discussion followed. 
2005/9/2    M. Mark Sexton    2nd  Boyd Barry   “approve Policy Statement #13 as presented striking  numbers 5 and 6 in the Selection Criteria.”  Passed Unanimously.

MARINE COMMITTEE:
Greg Eigsti stated that aquatic rule changes were reviewed but don’t seem to affect LISE. Docks will be removed at the beginning of October.
