| The
artists listed here live
throughout Lummi Island and have added to its unique character and long,
interesting history. The Island has attracted writers, craftspeople, artisans,
sculptors and visual artists of all kinds, in addition to the pioneer families,
and working men and women that made it part of Washington's history. It's
physical beauty, unique character and supportive community have brought
these artists and craftspeople to the Island to make it their permanent
home and work place.
Many
of these individuals offer tours of their studios and workshops each year
in the spring, fall and holiday season. This gives our visitors a chance
to meet with the creative people who make Lummi Island home.
During
the summer months there is a small unique gift shop called Sisters, open
on the Island where many of our artists and artisans display their work.
In
addition you can contact many of these very creative people for a private
showing by calling the phone numbers shown below. In some cases a link
is provided to individual Web Sites. Our purpose here is to give you an
introduction to our artists and what is awaiting you if you come for a
visit. Click on the artist's names below to go to their individual listings. |
